Actor Dhanush unveiled the Tamil version of the trailer on X
Helmed by Sandesh Productions and directed by MG Srinivas of Birbal (2019) fame, the trailer would surely set the expectations of the fans really high. The stellar cast consists of other stalwarts such as Anupam Kher, Jayaram, Prashanth Narayan, Archana Jois, Satyaprakash and Dattanna as well apart from sandalwood star Shiva Rajkumar.
The project had become the talk of the town with the teaser that was released on 12th July, which happened to be Shivar Rajkumar’s birthday.
The trailer did not reveal much about the plot or the characters. It did however have a collection of memorable dialogues from Shivarajkumar just like the teaser. “Naan hodre yudha bhoomi rudra bhoomi aaguthe” (If I enter, the war zone will become a graveyard) and “Saamraajagalan kattirovna ithihaasa yeshtond saala marthirbodhu, aadhre nan antha dwamsa maadovna endhigu marthilla” (History might have forgotten those built empires, but it never forgets those who destroy empires like me) were some examples of this in the action packed trailer.
Shiva Rajkumar featured in a more youthful look as well. Malayalam actor Jayaram was also featured in the trailer along with Hindi actor Anupam Kher. Many sequences of the trailer were set inside a jail. The director MG Srinivas earlier revealed that the gangster avatar of Shiva Rajkumar only forms 20% of the story which otherwise occurs in a jail over a span of 2 days.
