Bengaluru is inching closer to a major boost in its metro connectivity with the long-awaited Yellow Line — connecting RV Road to Bommasandra — set to become operational soon. The inspection, which started at the RV Road Metro Station, involves a thorough evaluation of infrastructure, safety systems, and operational readiness. CMRS officials will cover all stations and tracks along the stretch to ensure the corridor meets safety and performance standards required for public use.

The Yellow Line is expected to significantly ease commutes for thousands of employees working in the IT and BT sectors in areas like Electronic City, Bommasandra, and surrounding industrial hubs. Once operational, this line will reduce travel time and road congestion between South Bengaluru and the city’s tech corridors.

Officials suggest that if the inspection proceeds without any major issues, the line could be inaugurated as early as next month. This development has sparked excitement among daily commuters and city planners alike, as it marks a critical step forward in Bengaluru’s evolving metro network.

The Yellow Line will be integrated with the existing Green Line at RV Road, enhancing seamless connectivity across the Namma Metro system.
