Google has announced that all users can now access its most advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI) model, Gemini 2.5 Pro (experimental), which was previously available only to Gemini advanced subscribers. In a post on X, Google highlighted the urgency of expanding access, stating “Gemini 2.5 Pro is taking off. The team is sprinting, TPUs are running hot and we want to get our most intelligent model into more people’s hands ASAP.” This model is the first in the Gemini 2.5 series to introduce advanced reasoning, logical analysis and decision making. It is the company’s most sophisticated AI yet.

Unlike previous versions, Gemini 2.5 follows a structured step-by-step process for handling tasks, leading to improved accuracy and deeper contextual understanding. This enhancement boosts the AI’s capabilities across various fields, including coding, mathematics, and science. Google has confirmed that these advanced ‘thinking’ features will be integrated into all future AI models to enhance precision and adaptability.

Initially launched only for premium users, Gemini 2.5 Pro is now widely available, with further integration into Vertex AI planned. Pricing details for higher-tier access will be announced soon, allowing users to unlock additional features and higher usage limits.

One of Gemini 2.5 Pro’s key strengths is its multimodal functionality, enabling it to process multiple types of data seamlessly. Additionally, it supports an extended context window of 1 million tokens, with a future upgrade to 2 million tokens. This extended memory allows for deeper comprehension and more complex interactions, solidifying Gemini 2.5 Pro’s position as a leading AI model in the industry.
