Google has officially rolled out its advanced AI video generation model, Veo 3, to Indian users via the Gemini app under the AI Pro subscription. Priced at Rs 1,999 per month, the plan also includes a one-month free trial for new users. The announcement follows Veo 3’s debut at Google I/O 2025, where it gained global attention for producing stunning, AI-generated video clips using text or image prompts.

Veo 3 is designed to convert user inputs like descriptive phrases or images into 8-second high-definition videos with 720p resolution. Beyond just visuals, the tool also adds background music, sound effects, and AI-generated speech, making it a powerful solution for creative storytelling. Users can enter prompts such as “a dragon flying over Bengaluru at sunset,” and Veo 3 will produce a complete video scene, complete with audio and visual effects.
Previously, Veo 3 was limited to Google’s premium AI Ultra plan ($249.99/month), but Google has now introduced a faster, lightweight version called Veo 3 Fast for the AI Pro tier. This version generates videos up to twice as fast, thanks to backend improvements.
Indian users can access the feature by installing the Gemini app on Android or iOS and subscribing to the Pro plan. They can generate up to three Veo 3 Fast videos daily. After reaching the limit, they are shifted to Veo 2, a less advanced version that has also received recent upgrades.
To ensure responsible use, Google has implemented safety features like SynthID-based invisible watermarks, content moderation tools, and usage restrictions to prevent misuse.
