The search bar is what introduced most people to Google and was the prime reason it became one of the leading MNCs (Multi National Corporation) in the world. It has since expanded to other services such as email and browser. These applications already have a provision to highlight possible errors in spelling and grammar. The “did you mean?” feature in the google site performs a similar although not same task with regard to correcting possible errors in the spelling of a word.

But the site would now introduce a grammar check feature on the search bar as well. This has been powered by artificial intelligence. How this functions is that if there are no grammatical errors in the sentence, a green check mark appears on the screen along with the top search results. But if the algorithm identifies a possible error, the grammar check logo appears below the search bar with a corrected version of the statement. This provision is available only for the English Language presently and the users of the site have to be cautioned that a 100% accuracy is not guaranteed by the site for this. The feature is available for desktop and mobile users as well.
