Google has officially opened Ananta, its fourth and largest campus in Bengaluru, marking a significant milestone in its commitment to India. Ananta, meaning "limitless" in Sanskrit, boasts several unique architectural and environmental features. The campus is designed with neighbourhood-style workspaces, allowing seamless collaboration while also providing private booths for focused work. A central gathering space called Sabha enhances teamwork, while tactile flooring supports navigation for the visually impaired.
One of the campus’s standout elements is India’s largest installation of electro-chromic glass, which dynamically adjusts transparency to optimize natural light and energy efficiency. The sculpted, fluid façade further enhances its modern aesthetic. Employees can also enjoy walking and jogging paths, designed for informal meetings and peaceful breaks.
Sustainability is a key focus, with 100% wastewater recycling and on-site rainwater harvesting contributing to eco-friendly operations. These green initiatives align with Google's broader environmental goals.
With over a billion users, India remains Google’s largest market, and Ananta is poised to drive the company’s AI and digital expansion efforts in the region, strengthening its role in India’s technological growth.
