A traveller’s abode for pilgrims from Karnataka is set to be established in Ayodhya. The Hindu Religious Institutions and Charitable Endowments (HRCE) Department of Karnataka has submitted a letter to the Uttar Pradesh Government.

Facilities for food and a guest house will be arranged for devotees of Lord Ram who wish to visit Ayodhya. Rs 10 crore will be spent to establish the guest house over a 5-acre piece of land. This would be close to the Sarayu river.

CM Siddaramiah has put forward this request to the Uttar Pradesh Government. This is a follow up to a letter written to the Uttar Pradesh Government by former Chief Minister Yeddyurappa. This project would fall under the domain of the Uttar Pradesh Housing Board. They have responded to the letter.  Preparations are underway to commence the construction. This move would make it easier to arrange for travel for those planning on making a trip to Ayodhya.

Earlier the Muzrai Minister Ramalinga Reddy had instructed all state run temples to conduct special poojas for Lord Ram around the same time the inauguration is scheduled on January 22nd. This order was not restricted to Ram temples alone but all temples in Karnataka under the ministry’s control.
