Rehman, who had joined a hotel as a supplier just two days ago, was residing in a shed provided by his employer. The hotel staff grew suspicious after he repeatedly failed to provide his Aadhaar card despite multiple requests. Acting on their doubts, they searched his bag and were shocked to discover a hand grenade inside. The hotel management immediately alerted the police, who rushed to the scene and seized the explosive.

Following his arrest, Rehman claimed he had unknowingly picked up the grenade from the roadside and was unaware of its presence in his bag. However, the police are conducting a detailed inquiry to verify his statements.

A case has been registered at the Sampigehalli police station, and Sub-Inspector Kupendra has filed a formal complaint. The police have intensified their investigation to determine how Rehman came into possession of the grenade and whether there are any larger security concerns involved.

Authorities have assured the public that necessary precautions are being taken, and further updates on the case will be provided as the inquiry progresses.
