  • Pandya was bought at a base price of Rs 10 lakh by MI in 2015
  • Pandya had successfully led GT to 2 IPL finals and 1 IPL trophy
  • Vikram Solanki respected his decision

After days of speculation, Hardik Pandya was indeed traded by Gujarat Titans to Mumbai Indians, the team with which Hardik Pandya had started his cricketing career. In 2015, Hardik Pandya was bought at a base price of Rs 10 lakh but it indeed was a steal for the franchise at that price as Pandya became one of the most iconic T-20 all rounders of the present era and is currently the captain of India’s T-20 team. He has now been bought back by the Mumbai Indians in a reportedly all cash deal of Rs 15 crore.

Hardik Pandya has now posted an emotional note on X recalling fond times with the Gujarat Titans, the franchise he had successfully led to 2 IPL finals and 1 IPL trophy. “I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the fans, team and management at Gujarat Titans. Being part of the team and leading it has been an absolute honour, and I am immensely thankful for the love and encouragement my family and I have received as a player and as an individual. The memories and experiences with GT will forever hold a special place. In my heart. Thank you for the unforgettable journey,” he expressed. The director of Gujarat Titans, Vikram Solanki respected his decision and wished him the very best for his future endeavours.
