Founded by Sardar Prakash Singh, the dhaba initially catered to truck drivers with simple meals of dal, roti, rice, and sabji. Over the decades, his sons, Amrik Singh and Sukhdev Singh, transformed the eatery into a massive multi-cuisine restaurant that now attracts food lovers from Delhi, NCR, Punjab, and Himachal Pradesh.
Today, Amrik Sukhdev offers an extensive menu featuring North Indian, South Indian, Chinese, Continental, and desserts, making it a hotspot for travelers and foodies alike. The dhaba was relocated to a larger premises in 2000, and it now boasts over 150 tables, served within just 45 minutes, thanks to its highly efficient kitchen and service team.
With more than 500 staff members, the dhaba ensures high-quality service and food. Remarkably, it still upholds its tradition of offering free or discounted meals to truck and cab drivers, a gesture that has helped build immense goodwill and customer loyalty.
Recently, content creator Rocky Saggoo described the outlet as a “food empire,” revealing that the owners earn approximately Rs 27 lakh per day, based on the volume of patrons and food served. The dhaba now earns close to Rs 8 crore per month, amounting to an impressive Rs 100 crore annually, a remarkable feat for an establishment that started with modest roots.
