In a deeply saddening incident from Kelavatti village near Hassan, 21-year-old Kavya K.V., a final-year B.Com student, lost her life to a sudden heart attack. Kavya, the daughter of Papanna and Gayatri, was pursuing her degree at the Government Women’s First Grade College on M.G. Road in Hassan city. She had completed three of her semester exams and was preparing to write her fourth paper the very next day.

The tragic event unfolded on the evening of May 28th when Kavya was bringing water into her house. Suddenly, she experienced severe chest pain and reportedly asked her mother for a glass of water. However, before her mother could return with the water, Kavya collapsed inside the house. Her family rushed her to a private hospital in Hassan for immediate medical attention, but it was too late. Doctors confirmed that she had succumbed to a heart attack.
The untimely loss of their only daughter has left her family inconsolable, and their grief is shared by the entire village. Her classmates, teachers, and college staff are also mourning the shocking and sudden demise of the young student.
Kavya’s passing has left a void not just in her family but also in the hearts of those who knew her, as she was described as a bright and promising student with a warm personality. The community is now coming together to support her grieving family during this difficult time.
