A Surat-based businessman Kanubhia Asodariya is in the news for having an imagery of Lord Ganesh on a natural diamond (182.3) carats and weighing around 36.5 gms. It is claimed that the diamond is even bigger than Kohinoor and taken from the African mines.

He said, "The Indian Diamond Institute and World Book of Records in London have certified it as a unique diamond, which was not processed or polished in a laboratory. This diamond was taken out from the mine in its natural form. The World Book of Records in London has certified it as the Unique Diamond of the World," ETV Bharat noted.

He has christened it Karam Diamond. On the reasons for naming it so, he added, "Everybody in the world has a Karmic connection. Good Karma gives good results and bad Karma creates negative vibes. My company's name is Karam Export, which deals in diamond trading. So, it was given Karam Diamond so that employees of the company will receive positive vibes and blessings from god to keep their Karmic connections right."

On the issue of where it originates, he said, "This 182.3 carats and 36.5 grams diamond was brought from the African mines and it is even bigger than Kohinoor diamond, which is still in Britain. We also have naturally formed Ganpati idols in crystal and pearls. A seven-foot Ganesh idol also adorns the wall of the museum.”
