In a tirade unleashed against Dy CM DK Shivakumar, former Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy said that he would steal manhole chambers and sell them to make money.
The remarks came in the backdrop of the Dy CM’s stinging criticisms against HDK in which he said that he and his family had plundered wealth.
The Karnataka Congress government finds itself entangled in alleged scams involving CM Siddaramaiah who has been alleged to have played a role in getting as many as 14 MUDA sites in the name of his wife Parvati. The second scam relates to the Valmiki board scam, in which an alleged sum of Rs 187 crores has been swindled.

The BJP is holding a padayatra from Bengaluru to Mysuru, in an obvious bid to expose the scams of the Congress party.
Social activist seeks permission
TJ Abraham, a social activist, has sought permission from the Governor Gehlot to prosecute the CM. While the governor is yet to give his consent, the Congress has already alleged bias against him, saying he is acting as a ‘BJP agent’.
Congress won the Karnataka elections last year with a robust majority of 136 seats.
