The Prime Minister’s condolence comes amid mounting public outrage over the incident, which occurred due to overcrowding and poor crowd control at the stadium’s gates. The event was held to felicitate RCB players following their historic IPL win, but quickly spiraled into chaos as thousands gathered outside without valid passes.

Among the deceased were a 14-year-old girl, Divyanshi, and 19-year-old Bhoomik, both of whom had come to witness the celebrations with family and friends. Over 27 others were hospitalized, several in critical condition.

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy CM Parameshwara have reviewed the situation, even as criticism mounts over the lack of planning.

With PM Modi’s message, national attention is now focused on both the tragedy and the administrative lapses that led to it.
