In Dakshina Kannada, near Deralkatte, in the village of Montepadavu Kodi, a tragic accident occurred when the compound wall behind the house of Naushad, a resident of Kanakare, collapsed due to the heavy overnight rains. Seven-year-old Naeem, Naushad’s daughter, was severely injured when a window frame fell on her amid the collapse. Despite receiving hospital treatment, the young girl lost her life, leaving the family and community heartbroken.

In another incident in Mandya district’s KR Pete taluk, continuous rainfall for the past fifteen days caused a house in Madavinakodi village to partially collapse. However, the damage to their home has left them vulnerable, and they are now urging authorities for immediate and adequate relief to restore their living conditions.
