Bengaluru, often referred to as the Silicon City, witnessed intense pre-monsoon showers on Saturday, causing widespread waterlogging, property damage, and traffic chaos across several parts of the city. The sudden downpour flooded low-lying areas and roads, making it difficult for both residents and commuters.

In several neighborhoods, rainwater entered houses, forcing people to deal with damaged belongings and power disruptions. Many underpasses filled with water, trapping two-wheelers and making navigation a nightmare for motorists. The combination of strong winds and rain also resulted in tree branches breaking off and falling on vehicles, leading to several cases of vehicle damage.
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for Sunday, predicting continued heavy rain accompanied by gusty winds. Authorities have warned residents to remain indoors and be cautious of falling branches or weakened trees, especially in areas with dry or old trees.

- Marathahalli (27mm)
- HAL and Adugodi (26mm each)
- Vidyapeetha (21mm)
The BBMP has deployed emergency teams to clear waterlogged zones and remove fallen branches. Residents are advised to avoid travel unless necessary and stay alert for civic updates. Emergency helplines are on standby for assistance.
