Jyoti Malhotra, a 33-year-old YouTuber known as Jyoti Rani, who ran a travel channel called 'Travel With Jo,' was arrested in Hisar, Haryana, for allegedly sharing sensitive Indian military information with Pakistan. She is among six individuals from Punjab and Haryana arrested on espionage charges.

Connections with Pakistan
Officials revealed that Malhotra had contacts with Ehsan-ur-Rahim, an official at the Pakistan High Commission in India who was recently declared persona non grata for espionage activities. She reportedly visited Pakistan twice, where she met intelligence operatives through Rahim’s acquaintance, Ali Ahwan.
Confession Details
During police interrogation, Malhotra admitted to meeting Pakistani security officials and maintaining regular contact via WhatsApp, Snapchat, and Telegram. She confessed to sharing anti-national information, endangering India's sovereignty, and collaborating closely with Rahim and other operatives.
Online Presence and Travels
Malhotra’s YouTube channel featured travel vlogs about Pakistan, including visits to Lahore and Hindu pilgrimage sites. In one video, she detailed crossing the India-Pakistan border and experiencing Pakistani culture, presenting a positive narrative of her visits.
Other Arrests
Alongside Malhotra, a security guard from Panipat and a political science student from Kaithal were arrested for spying activities. The student admitted to sharing military information and visiting Pakistan via the Kartarpur corridor.
Malhotra is currently in police custody for further investigation.
