Here’s a list of criminal cases filed against Darshan even before Renukaswamy’s murder

Sandalwood actor Darshan also referred to as the Challenging Star is currently under police custody over the suspicion of being involved in the murder of Renukaswamy. He is faced with a police investigation. There are indications that Darshan will likely be sentenced in relation to this case. This however not the first instance wherein Darshan faced legal challenges. The police recently decided to open a rowdy sheeter case against Darshan. 

4 criminal cases have been filed against him before the incident came to light. This includes a charge of domestic violence against his wife. This case was filed in 2011. The case was filed in the Vijayanagar Police Station. He faced charges under sections 498(A), 323, 355 and 506(B) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

The second case was filed in the T. Narasipura Police Station over a bar-headed goose being found in his farmhouse. A case was filed under Schedules 2, 40 and 49 of the Wildlife Protection Act (WLPA) (1972). This case was filed in January 2023. 

The third case was filed in the Rajarajeshwari Nagar Police Station earlier this year. The case was filed under Section 289 of the IPC. He was accused of letting his dog loose on an individual. The current case would be his fourth.
