Bengaluru’s V.V. Puram transformed into a spiritual haven as thousands of devotees gathered for the historic Silver Chariot Festival at the Sri Subramanya Swamy Temple. Celebrated annually with grandeur, this year’s festival, held on the auspicious occasion of Champa Shashthi, drew devotees from far and wide.

The highlight of the event was the majestic silver chariot procession that graced Visvesvaraya Circle, creating a spectacular sight of devotion and festivity. The chariot, intricately designed and symbolizing divine energy, was ceremoniously pulled by devotees amid chants and traditional music.
In addition to the chariot procession, an array of special pujas and rituals marked the occasion, filling the air with spiritual fervor. Devotees participated in Mahasankalpa, Ganapati Puja, and the Panchamritabhisheka of Lord Subramanya Swamy. Other significant rituals included Hamsavahanotsava, Navagraha Homa, Adhivasa Homa, and Kalashabhisheka, each conducted with precision and devotion.
The event also featured elaborate ceremonies such as Mantapa Sanskar, Rakshoghana Homa, and the symbolic reenactment of Tarakasura Samhara. The festival concluded with the Sheshavahanotsava, a ceremonial offering to the deity.
Organizers expressed gratitude for the overwhelming participation, noting that the festival not only upheld tradition but also fostered a sense of unity among devotees. The vibrant celebrations reaffirmed the enduring cultural and spiritual heritage of Bengaluru.
