Ramya alleges that her image, which was initially meant only for promotional purposes, was misused in both the trailer and the final release of the film. The visuals were included in the cinema without her permission, leading her to seek legal action. She had requested a stay on the movie’s release, demanding that the scenes involving her be expunged from the film.
In addition to seeking the removal of the visuals, Ramya has also asked for compensation of Rs 1 crore for the unauthorized use of her image. The movie, which showcases her as a lecturer, was released on July 21, 2024, and the actress has made it clear that the footage should not have been used in the film’s final version.
The case is ongoing, with Ramya continuing to press for a resolution that would ensure her image is not exploited without her approval.
