Bengaluru has been severely impacted by two days of continuous rainfall, leading to widespread flooding across the city. One of the most affected areas is Hosur Road, which has been temporarily closed between Silkboard and Rupena Agrahara due to the flooding. The elevated flyover on this stretch has also been shut down for safety reasons. Commuters are advised to take alternate routes to avoid traffic jams and dangerous conditions.

The heavy downpour has thrown normal life out of gear in the city, causing massive disruptions in daily activities. Tragically, three people have lost their lives due to the floods, as the city struggles to cope with the aftermath of the relentless rain. To manage the crisis, Karnataka Chief Minister and his deputy visited the war room and BBMP (Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike) to assess the situation and take stock of the ongoing response efforts.
In some of the worst-hit areas, residents have been forced to use boats to wade through floodwaters as roads have become impassable. The authorities are actively working on relief operations, but the situation remains challenging. The public is urged to stay indoors and avoid unnecessary travel until the situation improves.
