In the video, Mayank is seen prodding batsman Virat Kohli to share a funny anecdote involving his family and Virat Kohli talked about his family’s response to his fitness regime and his dietary habits. “My mom used to tell me that I’m becoming weak. That is a very regular thing any mother would say. Tu bada kamzor ho gaya hai, tu kuch khata hi nahi hai (You have become very weak. You do not eat at all). Every second day I had to convince her I’m not sick. Mere ko kuch nahi hua. Ye main khelne ki wajah se kar raha hoon ( Nothing has happened to me. I am doing this to be more well equipped to play my game). It was so difficult to convince her. It was funny at times but also annoying at times because you are following a regime and you hear that you are ill. The whole day’s effort has been reduced to being ill,” Kohli recounted.
He also spoke about the challenges that come with maintaining such a strict schedule. “This requires discipline. It was hard to control myself because of the diet but it was a good time in retrospect,” he stated.
