After having lost 7 of their first 8 games, RCB won games on a trot to book their place in the playoffs. To add to this, there were other results in the tournaments that worked in their favour. 

Fans were elated over RCB’s performance and burst crackers across Bengaluru. Vijay Mallya, who was the initial owner of the franchise currently in the United Kingdom (UK) also shared his joy on the microblogging site X (formerly known as Twitter). “Heartiest congratulations to RCB for qualifying in the top four and reaching the IPL playoffs. Great determination and skill have created a winning momentum after a disappointing start. Onward and upward towards the trophy,” he stated.

Vijay Mallya has a reputation for making posts on bank holidays as he’s facing charges of defaulting on loans. “Bro Tweets On Bank Holiday. Today Is Sunday.
