The dynamics of Group-B in the ICC T-20 World Cup are quite interesting. The game between Scotland and England was washed out with the points being shared. Scotland and Australia have won their remaining games. They face each other on June 16th. If Scotland registers a win against Australia, England would be eliminated.

Australian pacer Josh Hazelwood made a remark that tactfully England’s elimination would benefit them going into the Super Eights Stage. Australia are already guaranteed qualification to the Super Eights. Whether that was a statement made in good humour or whether it is actually representative of Australia’s approach will become clear on June 16th. “To be honest, I was informed of that this morning. Look to me, that is things out of our control and I think I know Josh pretty well and I know his integrity. I do not think that is a thing. He has got a very good sense of humour and hopefully that is what he was doing,” England’s Head Coach Matthew Mott said in a pre-match press conference.

England take on Oman at 12:30 AM IST(Indian Standard Time) on 14th June. This encounter would be a must win game for England to remain in contention for the Super Eight stage.
