Hubli Tigers have managed to get hold of their second trophy after their triumph in the 2019/20 season when they had defeated Ballari Tuskers by 8 runs on the back of 3 wickets by Aditya Sommana. They had been the most consistent team of the season having lost 2 games with all the other teams having lost at least 5 games.
Mysuru Warriors had won the toss and put Hubli Tigers into bat on the eve of the final. Opener Luvnith Sisodia departed early on. However Mohammed Taha and Krishnan Shrijith put on an 89 run partnership to give the team some momentum. Taha went on to get 72 in 40 balls to set the stage up for captain Manish Pandey to score a quickfire 50 taking the team total to 203 in 20 overs. Mysuru Warriors got off to a splendid start with all the opening batsmen scoring at a strike rate above 150. When Karun Nair departed the team required 70 in 7 overs. However the nervousness of the situation got the better of them with the wickets starting to pile up. The match went into the final over with the Mysuru Warriors still requiring 12 from 6 balls, a fantastic effort from the captain the boundary saved a sex and Hubli Tigers ended up winning by 8 runs yet again.
Manish Pandey won the Man of the Match award, whereas Mohammed Taha won the Man of the Series award.
