You don't want to hurt anybody's ego: Sunidhi

Sunidhi Chauhan has captured the imagination of an entire generation through her energetic singing. She has now however claimed that she did not receive a payment for many of her projects. She wasn’t complaining though. “I have not got money for many movies even today. When I don’t get it doesn’t mean they don’t give it to me. They ask and I choose not to take it. Because I feel I don’t want to take this amount for this song. When I realise I want to help without making them realise… then I would say my price, I would sing it and say I don’t want it because you don’t want to hurt anybody’s ego,” Sunidhi Chauhan said during an episode featured in Raj Shamani’s YouTube channel. 

Ever since her debut in the year 1999, Sunidhi has come a long way to be one of the leading singers in the Hindi Film industry. This reflects in her choice to not receive payments for some of her songs. “When you reach a stature they have to pay you, because you can say that I will sing when you pay me. But when you yourself want to sing first and not worry about money then it is a choice and you cannot blame about not getting paid,” Sunidhi added.
