On 25th March, the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) faced the Punjab Kings in the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. A diehard fan of Indian batsman Virat Kohli managed to find his way into the field to hug his hero, resulting in high drama. The security officials escorted him outside the stadium subsequently. A video of the officials physically assaulting the fan had become viral. RCB fans expressed their discontentment with the management when the video became viral. The fan has been identified as hailing from the Raichur district of Karnataka.

Kohli fans have been meeting and congratulating him for his accomplishment. Chinna spoke to NewsFirst about his experience. “I have sought Kohli’s blessings. Now it does not matter even if I die. Kohli requested the bodyguards not to beat me. I told him I am a huge fan of his. He said thank you. It felt like I was given a boon by god. I have wanted to meet Kohli ever since I was a kid. It was with this intention that I went into the stadium on that day. I succeeded in doing so. I was scared while hugging him. The after effects of having met him are still in me,” Chinna recollected.
