Mollywood actor Fahadh Fassil’s Aavesham was successful at the box office and won over the critics as well. It will also premier on Amazon Prime Video on May 9th. However some of Fahadh Fassil’s statement have been a source of amusement for netizens. He hailed Ranbir Kapoor as the best actor in India in an interaction with Film Companion South. When asked about the larger effects of his films and his stature as an actor, he said, “I don't have to hide anything, I have to be honest. I am doing my stuff here. No disrespect to anything. I don't think people expect magic from me, from Pushpa. It's a pure collaboration, love for Sukumar Sir. My stuff is here. Very clearly. It doesn't get to me because I and a lot of my friends here think and believe that Vicky Kaushal is the find of the decade. Rajkummar Rao is one of the finest actors India has ever produced. Ranbir [Kapoor], I mean, the best actor in the country. So, I don't know what they see in me.”

He also talked about his own journey into films. After an unsuccessful debut in 2002, Fahad moved to the United States of America. After a period of 8 years, he returned to India and featured in another film in 2009. “Since I failed in cinema and my father has introduced so many talents to the industry, I just wanted to prove that he wasn’t wrong about me. So, I may have been subconsciously thinking or dreaming of cinema still,” Fahadh remarked.
