Karnataka Home Minister Dr. G Parameshwara has responded to the recent Enforcement Directorate (ED) raids on institutions linked to him, asserting that he respects the law and is ready to fully cooperate with the investigation. The raids are reportedly connected to the ongoing investigation into the Ranya Rao gold smuggling case. According to ED sources, financial transactions traced during the probe led officials to the medical college, which is suspected of having monetary links to the smuggling case. While the minister himself has not been summoned by the ED, officials have been scrutinizing the institution’s financial records.

Parameshwara, speaking to the media, stated: “They visited three of our colleges. I was asked about financial records, and I said yes. I respect the law and the process. Our group has trustees meeting today, and we are fully prepared to cooperate with ED officials.” He emphasized that the institution in question has been operational for 38 years and expressed confidence in the system.

On the day of the raids, the Home Minister was reportedly not at his residence but meeting his associates at another location. Meanwhile, in a strong show of support, senior Congress leaders including Dr.  DK Shivakumar, Cheluvarayaswamy, Satish Jarkiholi, and Dinesh Gundu Rao visited Parameshwara's residence in Sadashivanagar.

The ED investigation is ongoing, and the focus remains on tracking the financial trail between the accused in the smuggling case and the medical institution.
