I will direct films for Darshan under any circumstance: Tharun Sudhir

17 suspects including Sandalwood actor Darshan also referred to as the Challenging Star are currently languishing behind bars over suspicion of involvement in the murder of Chitradurga-based Renukaswamy. This has far reaching consequences to the Kannada film industry. Naturally, a variety of reactions pertaining to the case have emerged from people associated with Sandalwood. Director Tharun Sudhir who had directed 2 of Darshan’s recent releases ‘Kateera’ and ‘Roberrt’ has been distraught ever since the possibility of Darshan’s involvement in the murder emerged.

Tharun Sudhir provided a statement for the first time since Darshan’s arrest. “I hope the family members of Renukaswamy are granted strength by God to overcome their grief over this predicament. Similar to that, Darshan too has a large family. The livelihoods of 1000s of people are connected to Darshan. My wish is that his involvement in this case is proven to be false. The companionship shared by this large family with Darshan is immeasurable. I will direct films for him under any circumstance,” Tharun said. Tharun is rep[orted to have become emotional while providing a statement in relation to the development in the case. His mother Malathi Sudhir had earlier declined to offer any comments by stating that the case has made her extremely emotional.
