Actor and former MP Ramya has once again lashed out at Darshan fans, comparing the abusive messages she received to those reportedly sent by murder victim Renukaswamy. In a strong statement made during an exclusive interaction with NewsFirst, Ramya questioned the moral ground of Darshan’s supporters who continue to troll and abuse her online.

She stated that after she posted on social media following the Supreme Court’s order in the Darshan case, fans began flooding her with vulgar messages and threats. “I’ve posted all of them. How are these messages any different from the ones Renukaswamy sent?” she asked, directly comparing the behavior of these fans to the very issue at the heart of the murder case.
Ramya expressed deep concern over the normalization of abuse and the absence of accountability. “These are the kinds of people destroying society. They send such messages to women and then demand justice in the Soujanya case. What a joke! There is no safety for women in this country,” she said.
She also criticized the Kannada film industry for its silence, saying very few speak up in such situations. “What happens if we don’t speak? If we remain scared and silent, what does the future hold? I won’t be afraid of anyone,” she added.
Highlighting that even the children of film stars are being trolled, Ramya said she had spoken about this two years ago. “Fan wars are fine, but this kind of vulgarity is unacceptable. Today, wrongdoers aren’t afraid. They’ve gone silent after doing the damage and no one is talking,” she remarked.
