I would love to apologise to Aishwarya Rai if she felt offended: Emraan Hashmi

Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi’s appearance at ‘Koffee With Karan’ was in the 4th season which aired on January 26th 2014. It has however still remained memorable. When asked about which Bollywood actress he thought was plastic during the rapid fire round, Emraan blurted out the name of Aishwarya Rai.  Reports indicate that the host of the dhow, Bollywood director Karan Johar was himself shocked at the response and wanted to confirm whether he can keep the bit in the final edit of the episode.

In a recent interview with Lallantop, Emraan reflected on the incident. “I regret it. I keep saying that I have utmost respect for everyone I spoke about. I regret it because it was distasteful. Lately, people have become very sensitive. People get mad at everything on social media. In terms of the show, we were playing a game, it was all in jest. It was supposed to be taken sportingly. There are many such games in the show. Earlier, people weren’t this sensitive. I would love to apologise if she felt offended,” Emraan said. Meanwhile, Aishwarya was spotted in the marriage ceremony of Anant Ambani. The fact that she was not along with the Bachchan has resulted in speculations about a split in her marriage with Abhishek Bachchan.
