As India and New Zealand prepare to clash in the Champions Trophy final on Sunday, the race for the tournament's top individual honors—the Golden Bat and Golden Ball—is intensifying.

The Golden Bat is awarded to the highest run-scorer of the tournament. Currently, England’s Ben Duckett leads the charts with 227 runs in three matches. However, with England out of the competition, several contenders from the finalist teams have an opportunity to surpass him.

New Zealand's Rachin Ravindra is just one run behind, with 226 runs in three games, making him a strong contender. Indian skipper Virat Kohli is also in the hunt, having scored 217 runs in four matches. Shreyas Iyer (195 runs) and New Zealand’s Kane Williamson (191) and Tom Latham (189) are also within striking distance.

Meanwhile, the battle for the Golden Ball, awarded to the top wicket-taker, remains intense. New Zealand pacer Matt Henry leads with 10 wickets in four matches. India’s Mohammed Shami follows closely with eight wickets, while mystery spinner Varun Chakravarthy has impressed with seven wickets in just two matches. New Zealand captain Mitchell Santner also has seven wickets in four games.

With the final match poised to decide the top individual honors, all eyes will be on these key players as they aim to leave their mark on the tournament.
