The Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC), launched under the Smart City initiative to streamline civic issue resolution, is now facing serious credibility questions from the public.

Citizens have increasingly complained that issues like potholes, footpath encroachments, and traffic violations, though registered through the ICCC system, are being marked as “resolved” or “closed” without any actual ground action. This has led to frustration among residents who feel their concerns are being dismissed without proper follow-up.
The ICCC, set up to coordinate with 14 key civic departments, including BBMP, BWSSB, BMTC, and BESCOM is supposed to act as a bridge between citizens and authorities. While it was envisioned as a technological solution to civic woes, many users now allege that it functions more like a token system where complaints are routinely closed without verification.
Instances have emerged where potholes remain untouched, illegal constructions continue unchecked, and sanitation issues linger, yet the status of complaints in the ICCC portal shows "resolved." Several citizens have taken to social media to share screenshots and photos, expressing anger over this lack of accountability.
The ICCC was meant to be a symbol of smarter governance. However, without on-ground responsiveness, citizens argue that it's merely a digital illusion of efficiency.
