A woman from Idaho has shared a chilling story about a blind date with a man who later revealed himself to be a fugitive wanted for murder in Texas. At first, Voyek described Coolack as charming and charismatic, able to make her feel comfortable. However, their meeting took a sinister turn when Coolack unexpectedly confessed to having murdered his brother two years prior. This alarming admission prompted Voyek to reach out to her brother, who confronted Coolack about the revelation. After receiving confirmation of the confession, Eddie immediately contacted law enforcement.
On Sunday morning, authorities located Coolack walking along State Highway 4 outside Pomeroy, where they verified his identity and confirmed the outstanding murder warrant. He is now being held at the Carroll County jail, pending extradition to Houston.
Coolack is accused of fatally shooting his brother in March 2022 and has been on the run since then. Following the incident, Voyek expressed her lingering unease and anger, emphasizing the importance of being cautious when interacting with unfamiliar individuals. She reflected on how the situation could have escalated had the truth not been revealed in time.
