Speaking to reporters, Bhoomik’s father, Lakshman, expressed his anguish: “The Chief Minister and Deputy CM are not fit to hold those positions. My son died crying and pleading for help. If an ambulance had arrived on time, wouldn’t he still be alive?”

According to Lakshman, Bhoomik had collapsed suddenly, and with no ambulance in sight, his friends were forced to carry him in their arms to seek help. Despite their efforts, Bhoomik could not be saved.

“If this had happened to their own children, would they be posing for photos instead of saving them?” Lakshman asked emotionally, blaming the government for negligence. “The state has killed 11 people — my son is one of them.”

The powerful statement has sparked a wave of outrage, with opposition leaders calling for accountability from the government. Activists have also demanded a thorough investigation into the incident and immediate steps to improve emergency response systems in rural Karnataka.

As the grieving family prepares for Bhoomik’s final rites, the incident remains a stark reminder of systemic healthcare failures.
