Abu Dhabi’s Yas Island was set ablaze with glamour and excitement as the IIFA Utsavam 2024 kicked off with a star-studded night honoring the best of Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam cinema. The event, hosted by South Indian stars Rana Daggubati and Teja Sajja, saw celebrities from both the North and South come together to celebrate the film industry’s achievements.

Some of the big names gracing the occasion included Nandamuri Balakrishna, Chiranjeevi, Venkatesh Daggubati, Mani Ratnam, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Shahid Kapoor, Karan Johar, and Ananya Panday.
The night belonged to Tamil cinema, with “Jailer” clinching the coveted Best Picture award. Vikram and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan were recognized for their outstanding performances in “Ponniyin Selvan: II”. Mani Ratnam also took home the Best Director award for the same film. Telugu actor Nani was honored as Best Actor for his role in “Dasara”.
Other notable highlights include Chiranjeevi receiving the Outstanding Achievement in Indian Cinema award, while Priyadarshan was recognized for his contributions to the industry.
The final awards night will be hosted by Shah Rukh Khan, Karan Johar, and Vicky Kaushal, with performances by Shahid Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor, and veteran actress Rekha.
