Bengaluru's International Institute of Information Technology Bangalore (IIIT-Bangalore) celebrated its 25th Annual Convocation, marking a significant milestone with the graduation of 372 students across multiple academic programs. The event also spotlighted the institute’s growing influence in Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI), which now reaches nearly a billion people globally.

The ceremony saw the participation of prominent leaders from academia and industry. The event was presided over by Kris Gopalakrishnan, Chairman of the Governing Body, with IIIT-B Director Prof. Debabrata Das also in attendance. Dignitaries such as Prof. Govindan Rangarajan, Director of IISc Bangalore, and Dr. Venkat Padmanabhan, Managing Director of Microsoft Research India, graced the occasion.
Among the graduating cohort, 142 students completed the Integrated M.Tech program, 192 earned their M.Tech degrees, 12 graduated from the M.Sc in Digital Society program, 10 completed the M.S. by Research, and 16 were awarded Ph.D. degrees. Outstanding academic achievers received institute-level accolades, with top medals awarded to students from various programs.
On the placement front, the institute recorded a historic high, with one Integrated M.Tech graduate receiving an offer of ₹1.45 crore per annum. Fourteen students secured packages exceeding ₹60 lakh, while 67 surpassed ₹40 lakh, and more than 180 students received annual offers above ₹20 lakh, underscoring the strong industry demand for IIIT-B graduates.
