The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bangalore has secured the top position among Indian business schools in the QS Global MBA Rankings 2025, affirming its stature as a premier destination for management education. With an overall QS score of 67.4, IIM Bangalore was placed 53rd worldwide, leading the charge for Indian institutions on the global stage.

India’s growing prominence in the field of management education was further highlighted by the presence of several other institutes in the global top 100. IIM Ahmedabad secured 60th position globally, followed closely by IIM Calcutta at 65th. The Indian School of Business (ISB) in Hyderabad also featured in the top 100, claiming the 86th spot globally.
The top five Indian business schools in this year's rankings are:
- IIM Bangalore (1st in India, 53rd globally)
- IIM Ahmedabad (2nd in India, 60th globally)
- IIM Calcutta (3rd in India, 65th globally)
- ISB Hyderabad (4th in India, 86th globally)
- IIM Kozhikode (5th in India, ranked in the 151–200 bracket)
Other institutes including IIM Indore, XLRI – Xavier School of Management, IIM Lucknow, and IIM Udaipur also made it to the 201–250 global ranking bracket.
The QS rankings are based on key parameters such as academic reputation, graduate employability, faculty credentials, international diversity, and research impact, providing a comprehensive assessment of MBA programmes worldwide.
