India celebrated Mahavir Jayanti with devotion and reflection on the life and teachings of Lord Mahavir, the 24th Tirthankara of Jainism. Observed across the country, the day saw tributes from leaders, spiritual figures, and communities, emphasizing his core principles of non-violence, truth, compassion, and spiritual discipline.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted the lasting impact of Mahavir’s teachings, stating, “The ideals of Bhagwan Mahavir have greatly inspired countless people, including me. His thoughts show the way to build a peaceful and compassionate planet.”
