Speaking at a press conference, Wang emphasized that India-China relations have seen significant progress following the resolution of their four-year-long military standoff in eastern Ladakh. He credited the October 2024 meeting between President Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Kazan for providing strategic direction in fostering diplomatic and economic collaboration.

China views India as a crucial partner, advocating for mutual support over competition. Wang stated that cooperation between the two Asian powers is the “only right choice,” stressing that they should work together rather than against each other. He highlighted that a united front would not only benefit both nations but also contribute to a more balanced global order.

Without naming the US, Wang urged both countries to oppose hegemonism and power politics, underscoring their role as key players in the Global South. He emphasized the need to protect national interests while upholding international norms.

Marking the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations, China expressed readiness to advance India-China ties on a path of stability and development. Beijing aims to consolidate past experiences to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the coming years.
