The Test, which concluded on Monday, was just the fifth ever played at the Optus Stadium since its opening in 2018. Australia had previously dominated this venue, including a 146-run victory over India in their last encounter there. However, under Bumrah’s leadership, India turned the tables in a stunning performance.

Bumrah, known for his fiery pace, was instrumental in dismantling the Australian batting lineup. His aggressive and disciplined bowling set the tone for the entire match, with India’s bowlers complementing his efforts to bowl Australia out for a significant margin.

India’s win is not only a massive achievement for Bumrah as a captain but also a statement of dominance in the highly competitive Border-Gavaskar series. The victory has given India a strong start in the series and further elevated Bumrah’s reputation as a leader capable of taking on the best in the world.
