Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a strong and direct address to the nation, made it clear that India will never bow to nuclear blackmail, sending a firm message to Pakistan and the global community. Reflecting on the events of the recent military escalation, Modi revealed that Pakistan, after suffering heavy blows during Operation Sindoor, was forced to plead for de-escalation.

“Pakistan had so much arrogance about their forces,” Modi said, “but when we destroyed them, they begged the whole world, asked for de-escalation, and even called our DGMO, begging to stop.” The Prime Minister’s comments came hours after both countries agreed to a ceasefire following sustained air and missile exchanges.
Modi stressed that India only considered the ceasefire after Islamabad assured it would end its provocations. “We considered it only after they promised to stop their misadventure,” he stated.
Reiterating India’s position on regional security, the Prime Minister asserted, “No one can threaten us with nuclear blackmail.” The statement comes amid Pakistan’s repeated nuclear posturing over the past week.
The Prime Minister’s remarks are being viewed as a reaffirmation of India’s strong military resolve and its zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism and coercive tactics, especially under the shadow of nuclear threats.
