India are set to take on Australia in Visakhapatnam in the first out of five T20s merely four days after their heartbreaking loss in the semi final over Australia. The team would be led by Suryakumar Yadav, who is the only player from the playing 11 in the final to feature in the first three T20s of the series.

When asked about how the team is coping with the loss he said, “It is difficult, it will take time, you cannot expect to wake up the next morning and you forget everything that happened. It was a long tournament. We would have loved to win it. Obviously, a little disappointing but when you look back at the journey it was a great campaign. All of India and our families were proud of the way everyone displayed their talent on the ground. But as you get up in the morning the sun rises again, there is light at the end of the tunnel. You have to move on. It is a fresh team (T20 squad), really looking forward to the challenge. We played a positive brand of cricket throughout the tournament. We can be very proud of that.”

Apart from Suryakumar Yadav, Ishan Kishan and Prasidh Krishna, who were part of the 15 member squad of the world cup would be part of the proceedings. Shreyas Iyer would join after the 3rd T20. For Australia, Travis Head, Glenn Maxwell, Steve Smith, Marcus Stoinis, Adam Zampa and Josh Inglis who were a part of the playing 11 on the day of the final and Sean Abbott who was part of the 15-man squad would be playing a role in the 5-match series.
