Ireland defated West Indies in 2022 T20 World Cup

India’s run in the T-20 World Cup will commence on June 5th. India’s first game is scheduled against Ireland. India are poised to be the favourites heading into the game. They should however not take the game lightly. There is scope for a competitive performance by the players of Ireland. 

The match will take place in the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium. India won their practice game ahead of the tournament. They will take the confidence into the game against Ireland. 

The performance of associate teAMS has been phenomenal in this edition of the T20 World Cup. The United States of America (USA) defeated Canada. Papua New Guinea gave a tough fight to the West Indies.  The game between Oman and Namibia was interesting as well. 

Ireland had defeated West Indies in the previous edition of the World Cup. They had also defeated England by the Duckworth Lewis method by a margin of 5 runs. Paul Stirling, Harry Tector and Andrew Balbarnie are dangerous batsmen.

It would be interesting to see the team combination India would intend to opt for ahead of their encounter with Ireland. It will provide a glimpse of their strategy for the tournament.
