In a remarkable achievement for Indian television, the drama series The Night Manager has been nominated at the 2024 International Emmy Awards, marking it as the sole Indian entry across all categories.

The series, featuring Anil Kapoor, Aditya Roy Kapur, and Sobhita Dhulipala, has been recognized in the drama category, setting it against international heavyweights including France's Les Gouttes de Dieu (Drops of God), Australia's The Newsreader 2, and Iosi, El Espia Arrepentido 2 from Argentina.
Directed by Sandeep Modi and Priyanka Ghose, The Night Manager is an adaptation of John le Carré's novel and the acclaimed British series, which starred Tom Hiddleston and Hugh Laurie. This Indian version brings a fresh take on the narrative, adapting it to resonate with local audiences while maintaining global appeal.
The International Emmy Awards, set to take place on November 25 in New York, will be hosted by Indian comedian Vir Das, following his win in the previous year for his stand-up special Landing. The event showcases a broad spectrum of television from around the globe, with nominees hailing from diverse countries like Argentina, Australia, and Japan, among others.
