Ahead of his hosting debut, Emmy-winning comedian Das admitted to feeling "nervous but good" about the big night, describing pre-show jitters as a hallmark of success. He shared his intent to focus on global unity and storytelling. On the red carpet, Das turned heads in an outfit by Delhi-based designer Shubhangi Bajpai, a rising talent he selected through an open call for new Indian designers. “We picked this kid from Delhi… She worked super hard,” he said.

The Night Manager team, led by showrunner Sandeep Modi and actor Aditya Roy Kapur, celebrated their nomination by proudly carrying the Indian flag. Modi expressed gratitude for the recognition, calling it a “huge honour” for Indian creators. Adapted from John le Carré’s novel, the show stars Anil Kapoor, Sobhita Dhulipala, and Kapur, marking India’s sole entry in 14 categories this year.

Kapur emphasized the team’s unity and dedication, stating, “The nomination itself feels like a win.” Meanwhile, the Indo-American Arts Council hosted a pre-event reception, lauding the show’s global appeal as a milestone for Indian storytelling.

India's presence on the Emmy stage underscored the growing impact of its creative talents worldwide.
