In a major defence boost, India has signed a deal that entails 22 single-seated Rafale marine aircraft complemented by 4 trainer aircraft. PM Modi’s visit to France later this week would seal the deal and an announcement regarding this is expected around the same time. 

Mazagon Dockyards Limited, Mumbai, has been entrusted with building the submarines as per an ANI report. This is in line with expanding the scope of Make-in-India project.publive-image

The deal has been finalized as per a repeat clause by the Navy under Project 75. The deal was finalized at the cost of around Rs 90,000 crore. A proposal would be made to the defense acquisition council and passed before the visit to France.
