India has disclosed that 81 per cent of Pakistan’s military hardware is of Chinese origin, with claims that China is using Pakistan as a “live lab” to test its military technologies. The revelation comes amid heightened tensions following the April 22 terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which claimed 26 lives.

In response, India launched Operation Sindoor, a precision military offensive targeting nine terror-linked sites across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. The operation reportedly killed over 100 terrorists associated with groups including Jaish-e-Mohammed, Lashkar-e-Taiba, and Hizbul Mujahideen.
A total of 21 locations were initially identified using a combination of human and technological intelligence. Nine were selected for engagement, with the final decision made in the closing hours before the strike. The operation was designed to send a strong message, marking a departure from past restraint in the face of terror attacks.
The offensive underscores a shift in India’s approach to cross-border terrorism, favouring swift, intelligence-driven military responses. Officials highlighted that the operation’s planning and execution demonstrated a high level of strategic coordination and precision.
The claim regarding China’s role in Pakistan’s military buildup adds another layer of complexity to the region’s security landscape, suggesting growing concerns about Beijing’s influence and the implications of its defence ties with Islamabad.
