In a significant boost to regional connectivity, IndiGo, India’s leading airline, has announced the launch of direct flights linking Puducherry with Bengaluru and Hyderabad. The new services, commencing on December 20, 2024, will operate daily, marking Puducherry as IndiGo’s 89th domestic and 125th overall destination.

The introduction of these routes aims to enhance accessibility to the picturesque union territory, celebrated for its tranquil beaches, colonial architecture, and spiritual landmarks like the Sri Aurobindo Ashram and Auroville. IndiGo’s Head of Global Sales, Vinay Malhotra, reportedly highlighted the importance of these connections, emphasizing their potential to place Puducherry firmly on the aviation map while offering seamless access to IndiGo’s extensive domestic and international network.
Adding to the excitement, Puducherry has been recognized as one of the top globally trending destinations for 2025. With attractions like Paradise Beach and Rock Beach, the town is poised to welcome an influx of tourists.
The flight schedule includes:
- Bengaluru to Puducherry: 11:10 AM – 12:25 PM
- Puducherry to Bengaluru: 5:10 PM – 6:35 PM
- Puducherry to Hyderabad: 12:45 PM – 2:30 PM
- Hyderabad to Puducherry: 3:05 PM – 4:50 PM
